Need to declutter and edit your wardrobe?
I think I've stumbled across a more considered way to do it
Full confession: I meant to edit and re-organise my wardrobe in January. I didn’t happen despite having a deadline because I’m selling my wardrobe at the Love Me Again Market in Brisbane tomorrow (Sunday)*. Instead of carving out one chunk of a day because I literally didn’t have one chunk of a day to carve out for my culling process, I’ve been doing little bits each day over a couple of weeks.
Yesterday as I started pricing up for the markets, I wondered if I’d actually stumbled across a more considered way to approach my bi-annual wardrobe declutter. By doing it section by section in smaller amounts of time, I realised I’ve really taken pause and considered exactly what pieces serve my style right now. I’ve also not gotten tired of trying things on to see if they fit.
I’m not one who finds it difficult to let go of clothes and accessories that are no longer “me” but this more considered approach really got me thinking about each piece and whether it fits who I am and how I live my life in 2025.
I’ve long advocated and encouraged you to only bring things into your wardrobe that fit your style personality and your lifestyle but I’ve also acknowledged that our style can and does change as we change - whether that’s to fit a new stage of our lives or simply because we feel differently within ourselves and want to dress accordingly. Once you’re clear on what you want to bring into your wardrobe, it becomes very clear when you’re editing it, what needs to go.

Totes amazing!
Last month, I put the new Stitch and Hide London tote to the ultimate test - travel - and this month she’s been working just as hard as my work bag. It’s a big tick from me that she’s lightweight in design and an even bigger tick that she’s crafted from eco-certified leather.
If you haven’t yet checked out this sustainable leather brand, I highly recommend you do. Plus, if you enter VAL20 you’ll receive 20% off site-wide at Stitch and Hide.
